Didn’t sell everything at the spring community garage sale? No worries, there’s another Fall Community Garage Sale the weekend of November 5 to 7.

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
Saturday, December 4th from 9:00 - 11:00 AM
@ Lakewood Residents' Club, 15006 Lakewood Forest Dr.
Host:  Lakewood Forest Fund (HOA)

The Cypress Creek Community Emergency Response Team is tentatively planning two events that should be of interest to Lakewood Forest residents

Due to Covid the dates of these events and even whether we can do this id up in the air, as are the locations. At this point we hope to hold these either at the Lakewood Resident’s Club or one of the Cypress Creek Fire Department.

Stop the Bleed:  This class teaches emergency first aid, teaching you to stop the bleeding in an accident until medical help can arrive. We feel that this is a more important class than a CPR class since you are more likely to encounter this type of situation.

Pre Hurricane:  This class reviews precautions and preparations that all of us living along the Gulf Coast need to take as we get into Hurricane Season. It will review what you need to have in your home, what you need to take with you in the event of an evacuation as well as where you can go for help in an emergency. A hurricane is not the only emergency that we could go through but it is the most likely.

These events will be open to all Lakewood Forest residents as well as any other interested person living within the Cypress Creek Fire District.

Once scheduled, dates will be published
in E-News.

SUNDAY FUN DAY
- Fall football @ the pool-
- Chili Cook-Off-

This event is hosted by the Lakewood Forest Civic Association and will be held (rain or shine!) at the new county park at 11675 Grant Road, Cypress, TX  77429. This park is located between Lakewood Forest Drive and Jones Road, on the south side of Grant Road. We’ve got the park pavilion reserved for our Spring Fling!

Egg hunt sessions by age starting at 1:15 PM and 2:15 PM – bring a basket!
Games for the kids
Spring crafts
Spring photo backdrop – bring a camera and take your own pictures
Light refreshments for all

In addition, the park has a great playground and paved walking trail. If you haven’t been there yet, this is a good time to visit the county’s newest park.

Volunteers are needed to help run this event. Teens who want to earn volunteer hours can work from 12 to 2, or 2 to 4, or both shifts. Adults are welcome too! Volunteers will be putting out eggs, running the games, passing out refreshments, and helping with setup and tear down.

AN EVENING WITH ELVIS
December 11th from 6:00 to 11:00 PM
@ Longwood Golf Club Pavilion, 13300 Longwood Trace

Host:  Lakewood Forest Fund (HOA)

Keep your eyes open on the morning of December 4th as Santa Claus cruises through Lakewood Forest on his way to the Lakewood Residents’ Club.

Join your volunteer board members for a HOLLY JOLLY good time and a visit with Santa Claus as we celebrate the start of the Christmas season. Weather permitting, this year’s event will be held outside with various stations distanced apart from one another. Your child will have the opportunity to enjoy this walk thru event where they will be dazzled by a balloon twister who will create a "balloontastic" design for them. Also along the way, your child be given the opportunity to select a snazzy, colorful, festive stencil design which will be airbrushed on their face by a professional face painter. The highlight of the day will be meeting Santa who will be perched in his grand red chair anxiously awaiting his chance to speak with each child individually, at which time, parents may take photos. Wrapping up the morning will be a grab-n-go breakfast with delicious donuts from OMG and breakfast tacos from Rudy’s. Upon exiting the route, as supplies last, each child will receive a goody bag to take home and enjoy.

Santa is requesting that parents provide an info card on each child indicating first name, age, a special fun fact and/or a gift which the child is really looking forward to receiving this Christmas year. Please bring this information to the event with you.
