Lakewood Forest Civic Association Annual Meeting
Monday, October 14, 2019 at 7 PM

Lakewood Residents Club, 15006 Lakewood Forest Drive

The Civic Association’s annual meeting for all members will be held on Monday, October 14, at 7 PM at the Lakewood Residents’ Club located at 15006 Lakewood Forest Drive. We will be electing five officers and three directors. Additionally, we will review our financial results for the year and vote to approve the 2019-2020 budget.

The five officer positions are elected annually while director positions 1, 3 and 5 will be elected to a two-year term. All terms begin November 1, 2019. In addition, director 2 position is open for a member in good standing who wishes to join the Board of Directors by appointment.

If you would like to nominate someone, including yourself, to be on the Board, or would like more information about serving your neighborhood, please call or text Michael Lindauer at 281-627-3742 or by email at mlhoutex@gmail.com. Any resident of Lakewood Forest who is a member in good standing of the Civic Association may run for the above positions. To be in good standing, one must be a resident and have paid their $10 annual membership dues for the membership year that begins September 1 of each year. This means that anyone running for (re)election or wishing to vote at the annual meeting will need to pay their membership dues to the treasurer by the start of the meeting.

If you have the desire to make Lakewood Forest a great community to live in, can volunteer a little time and effort, and want to work with a great bunch of people on the Civic Association’s Board, then don’t be shy. Our monthly Board meetings are held on the second Monday (usually) at 7 PM at the Lakewood Forest Fund’s office located at 12415 Louetta @ Malcolmson.

President – Michael Lindauer

Treasurer – Mary Ales

Lakewood Forest Community Garage Sale
The entire weekend of November 8, 9 and 10 – you set the times for your own sale

All residents are welcome to host their own garage sale at their home. The LFCA will publicize the event to draw shoppers but we encourage you to put out your own directional signs on the street corners to attract people to your sale. Signs on boxes are OK but please don’t put staked signs in the common grounds (stakes could damage the sprinkler systems). List your sale on Nextdoor and on the Lakewood Forest Facebook page.
