Annual Lakewood Forest Patriotic 4th of July Parade
Thursday, July 4th at 9:30am from the Lakewood Residents Club

hosted by Lakewood Forest Civic Association

Come dressed out in your most patriotic display as the top entries in each category receive ribbons and trophies. The top overall entries will be awarded the highly coveted George Washington (male) and Betsy Ross (female) trophies. After the parade while we announce the category winners, cool off with the ever popular Freeze Pops and ice-cold water and enjoy other tasty snacks, courtesy of your Civic Association.

Kids, parents, grandparents, and pets – all ages are welcome to participate. Also invited are Scout troops, teams, and other organized (and not so organized) groups. Walkers, bike riders, wagon riders, decorated cars and floats, antique & classic cars – all can join in for a fun parade through the neighborhood. Decorate those bikes and wagons, plan a patriotic costume, shine up that garage queen, or just wear the red, white and blue. It’s up to you.

Volunteers Needed: Every year this event could not happen without the volunteer efforts of people just like you. We need judges, registrars, flag setters/retrievers, setup and cleanup help, and go-fers. High schoolers can earn those valuable community service volunteer hours while having fun. With many hands, the work is light and fun. All we need is just a bit of your time. If interested, please contact Michael Lindauer at 281-627-3742 or mlhoutex@gmail.com.
